Fragments of Home Installation Week at Rosetta Arts

Reflecting on the installation week of Fragments of Home: Eastern European Stories from Newham at @rosettaarts (17 Feb – 14 Mar 2025). It was a true testament to the power of collaboration. Every participant brought their unique skills, vision, and we all learned from one another.

Renata Drusktye’s @bespoke_windrose textile work was at the heart of our collaboration—her craftsmanship and knowledge of folk traditions inspired new creative directions and ways of integrating photography with fabric.

Elena Juzelenaite @elena_juzulenaite not only supported this project from the start but continues to make spaces for non-artists to be creative, shaping communities through art.

Nesd’s photography captured the spirit of public spaces and everyday life in Newham, and her tablecloth—we all crafted together—reflects our sessions, where we gathered, shared stories, and shaped ideas together.

Zoltan Varga @zoltanphoto.london showcased fragments of Newham’s diverse community through his photography, following inspiring journey of @veronikayogini.

Ella Natalia Hopkins @ellanataliahopkins who introduced us to @miriamfilm, @samhopkins_editor and thier crew who supported the project, created a beautiful documentary following me and Elena through this journey.

This exhibition, commissioned by Culture Within Newham @culturewithin_ and funded by Arts Council England @aceagrams, in collaboration with Rosetta Arts @rosettaarts, Centrala @centrala_space, and the Roma Support Group @romasupport, is a celebration of collective storytelling and the joy of making.
